After Wednesday's 71-69 win over Chicago, Garnett caught many by surprise in declaring that this weekend's All-Star game would be his last as an NBA player.
"This is definitely my last All-Star game," Garnett proclaimed. "Y'all don't know what I know. Put it like this, I'm more than grateful for going (to the All-Star game). I'm not gonna act like I got more All-Star games in me or whatever. So I'm actually going to enjoy this one with some friends and family."
With two years left, does that mean KG plans to call it quits after this season?
Or is it his way of acknowledging that at the age of 36, he doesn't foresee himself playing at a level high enough next season to where the fans will vote him in as a starter which they did this year?
It all only adds to the mystery that is Kevin Garnett, who continues to defy Father Time by contributing at a high level when his team needs him most.
And the C's needed every bit of Garnett on Wednesday, especially in the fourth quarter.
Despite playing just 26 minutes, Garnett still managed to tally 12 points and 11 rebounds for his 15th double-double this season.
Garnett was especially effective in the fourth in which he scored eight points.
