Speaking of Garnett, there are countless basketball players around the world who model their games after the future Hall of Famer. Highly touted Holmes County High School (FL) standout Chris Walker has already committed to the University of Florida. With his eyes set on the NBA, the 6-9 forward believes his game resembles that of Garnett. NBA draft people have said I'm like a sick mix of Kevin Garnett and Perry Jones III, Walker said, according to the Gainesville Sun. Perhaps we will see him snapping photos with Snoop Lion in the future, too
Even the Scowl Needs to Be Looked Out for
Before former Celtic Kendrick Perkins was learning from veterans like Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen, fellow Texas native Stephen Jackson took the young center under his wing. In an interview with XXL Magazine about his rap career, Jackson also discussed his relationship with Perkins, who is now a veteran leader himself on the Oklahoma City Thunder:
When I used to go back home, I used to go work out with Perk and my high school coach, and I just started raising him from thereworking out with him, showing him the ropes, keeping him positive. He lost his mom at a very young age, so it was good to see how mature he was with that happening in his life. Kendricks been a man from a young age, and Im not surprised at where hes at now because hes been through a lot and fought through a lot to get to where hes at.

This Week in Celtics History
On August 18, 1992, Celtics legend and NBA Hall of Famer Larry Bird retired after 13 seasons and three NBA championships. The 12-time All-Star had a career average of 24.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. (Read more on the Celtics since Bird retired here).
