BOSTON -- As the Boston Celtics fought to make a comeback and overtake the San Antonio Spurs in the final seconds of Wednesday's game, it was a New England native who halted their plans.
Matt Bonner, who grew up in Concord, New Hampshire, hit a critical jumper with 46.5 seconds left that put the Spurs up, 87-83, and fended off the Celtics 13-8 run.
It was being in the right place at the right time, Bonner said following the Spurs 87-86 win. The laws of probability, I missed my previous 93 shots. At least in my head thats what it felt like, so I knew that one was going in.

Bonner finished the game with 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-7 3PG) in 21 minutes off the bench.
Its just Bonner being Bonner, said Tim Duncan.
A little bit different than Manny being Manny, a reference the New Englander would surely understand.
