Celtics set to play in Orlando Pro Summer League

While the Boston Celtics may be trying to bring back the Big Three for another run at Banner 18, there's a handful of new, youthful faces that will be in the mix as well.

The first chance to see the newest Celtics on display comes next week when the Celtics rookies and free agent invitees participate in the Orlando Pro Summer League with games beginning July 9th.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Celtics second-round pick Kris Joseph. "It's going to be a great opportunity for me and all the young guys to kind of get a feel for the NBA, kind of show what we can do before the coaches."

Joseph doesn't have the kind of job security of the C's two first-round picks, Jared Sullinger of Ohio State and Fab Melo who played with Joseph at Syracuse.

Sullinger and Melo have fully guaranteed contracts, but Joseph -- like most of the C's summer league roster -- will have to go out and earn one based in large part on his play during summer league.

"It's more pressure, obviously," he said. "But I'm not going to try and do anything more than what I'm capable of doing. I feel good about my chances, put it that way."
