Bradley out vs. Bulls, unclear timeline for return

BOSTONThe Boston Celtics will return to their short-handed ways tonight with their defensive stopper Avery Bradley out with a rib injury.

The injury occurred in Boston's 90-78 loss to New Orleans on Wednesday.

Filling the huge void left by Bradley will be a trio of guards - Courtney Lee, Jason Terry and Leandro Barbosa.

However, the gaping hole that a Bradley-less C's squad can not be quantified by simply finding someone to replace the 8.1 points per game he has averaged this season.

Without Bradley, the Celtics were giving up 98.1 points per game. Since his return, opponents were scoring just 86.8 points per game.

It is unclear how long the rib injury will sideline the 6-foot-2 guard who has played in just eight games this year after returning to the lineup following surgery on both shoulders.
