Blakely: Rondo ‘sliced up' Toronto's defense

Share

After seven straight games decided by six points or less, the Celtics appreciated a comfortable win on Saturday and they did it behind the shooting of Jason Terry and the passing of Rajon Rondo.

A. Sherrod Blakely discusses how Rajon Rondo picked apart the Toronto defense, en route to 20 assists. Before the game Doc Rivers said he would watch Rondo, who is dealing with an injury, to make sure he could move around. With 20 assists, it seems safe to say Rivers liked what he saw.

When Rondo wasn't slicing up the defense, it was Jason Terry knocking down big shots. When the Raptors went to a zone defense, Terry took over, exploding for 20 points.
