Allen (ankle) out vs. Bobcats, probable vs. Jazz

CHARLOTTE, N.C.The status of Mickael Pietrus' return from a concussion suffered last week remains up in the air. But Celtics coach Doc Rivers anticipates having Ray Allen (ankle) back for Wednesday's game against Utah.

Allen had initially sprained his ankle against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 12, and apparently re-aggravated it against Philadelphia on March 23. The injury kept Allen out of Sunday's 88-76 win over Washington.

Filling in for Allen against the Wizards was Avery Bradley, who had a career-high 23 points in the victory. Bradley will once again get the starting nod for the C's (26-22) who can move into a tie for first place in the Atlantic Division with Philadelphia if they can beat the Bobcats tonight.

However, if the two finished with an identical record atop the Atlantic Division, the Sixers would get the higher seed by virtue of them winning the first two matchups. And with the two teams only playing one more time this season (April 8 in Boston), the Sixers have already won the head-to-head matchup.
