BOSTONJoe Bick, the agent for Kevin Youkilis, called the comments made about his client by manager Bobby Valentine "so far off base on so many different levels".On Channel 7s Sports Xtra, Valentine said:"I don't think he's as physically or emotionally into the game as he has been in the past for some reason. But on Saturday it seemed, you know, he's seeing the ball well, got those two walks, got his on-base percentage up higher than his batting average, which is always a good thing, and he'll move on from there."Reached by phone on Monday, Bick responded: I will not dignify his quotes by responding to something that is so far off base on so many different levels."Bick said he has no concerns that this will have any lingering effects on Youkilis or become a distraction.I have complete faith in Kevin to deal with whatevers thrown in his lap, Bick said.Bicks advice to his client:Go to the ballpark and have fun and play the way you always do.
