Who exits rotation when Buchholz returns?

The Red Sox have a problem. It can be looked at as a good problem or a bad one.

On the bad side, they have a lot - no really, a lot - of injuries. You could practically field an entire team (and a pretty competitive one) with the players the Red Sox have lost to injury.

On the good side, a number of players have stepped up in their absence. The injuries have allowed young players to emerge as key pieces of this 2012 roster. Felix Doubront and Franklin Morales have been arguably the best two pitchers in the Red Sox rotation. Daisuke Matsuzaka has returned from Tommy John surgery and pitched fairly well. Aaron Cook just threw a two-hitter in Seattle on Friday night.

But now the Red Sox are getting healthy. That means some very productive pieces are going to become victims of a numbers game.

When Clay Buchholz returns to the rotation, how is Bobby Valentine going to handle that shuffle? You'll have Jon Lester, Josh Beckett, Clay Buchholz, Felix Doubront, Franklin Morales, Aaron Cook and Daisuke Matsuzaka all vying for innings.

Do the Red Sox make a trade and shore up some other area of need? Or, do they hold on to all of their pieces, knowing that what they really have, are a large number of porcelain dolls who are very injury-prone?
