ANAHEIM -- Zach Stewart's Red Sox debut was short and hardly sweet.Stewart, obtained in the June trade that sent Kevin Youkilis to the Chicago White Sox, was pelted for nine runs on 10 hits in three innings of work as the Red Sox were outmanned by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 10-3.It was the fifth win for the Angels against the Red Sox in the last nine days.Stewart fell behind 4-0 after the first four hitters thanks to an RBI double from Torii Hunter, a run-scoring single from Albert Pujols and a two-run homer by Kendrys Morales. After a solo run in the second, the Angels kept adding on in the third off Stewart, banging out four extra-base hits and four more runs.Stewart became the first Red Sox starter to allow nine runs in his Red Sox debut in the last 100 years.Junichi Tazawa, Andrew Miller and Alfredo Aceves each pitched two innings of mop-up relief.Mauro Gomez had three hits and both Mike Aviles and Scott Podesednik added two each for the Sox, who fell to 9-18 in August.

STAR OF THE GAME: Torii HunterThe veteran outfielder drove in the first run of the game for the Angels and later added two more hits and another RBI, in addition to a fine running catch in the top of the first to take extra bases away from Ryan Lavarnway.
HONORABLE MENTION: C.J. WilsonIt's nice when your teammates present you with four runs of support in the bottom of the first and Wilson knew just what to do with them, attacking the Red Sox lineup with strikes and challenging them to put the ball in play. He was lifted after six innings for as easy a win as he'll likely get all season.
GOAT OF THE GAME: Zach StewartStewart's spot start was a nightmare and it got bad in a hurry. He fell behind 4-0 after the first four hitters and the damage kept piling up as he allowed a run in the second and four more in the third.
TURNING POINT: In a game this lopsided, it's tempting to say it took place when the lineup cards were exchanged. But let's give the Red Sox a break and say it happened when Hunter ran down a fly ball by Ryan Lavarneway near the foul line in right with two on and two out. The Sox never threatened again.
BY THE NUMBERS: Since Aug. 11, the Angels are a perfect 5-0 against the Red Sox and 3-9 against all other opponents.
QUOTE OF NOTE: "I was too inconsistent and those guys are too good a hitters to leave that many balls over the plate.'' Zach Stewart
