Report: Oswalt throws bullpen session for Red Sox

It's not midseason yet but it's getting closer, and, apparently, those reports that Roy Oswalt would be looking to come back around the All-Star break are correct:

Sources: Oswalt threw bullpen session for Phillies last week and RedSox this week near his home in Mississippi. Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) May 18, 2012

Oswalt's interest in the Red Sox over the winter appeared to be minimal, so his willingness to throw a bullpen session for them indicates a) a change of heart, or b) a smaller market for his services than he anticipated. Or, c) his interest wasn't as minimal as first appeared.

Of course, the Red Sox right now have five starters (Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, Clay Buchholz, Daniel Bard and Felix Doubront), with another (Aaron Cook) on the disabled list and yet another (Daisuke Matsuzaka) on the rehab trail. So how interested they are in Oswalt remains to be seen.
