Jenks won't face misdemeanor DUI charges

Misdemeanor DUI charges against Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks will not be pursued by the State Attorney's Office in Fort Myers because authorities can't prove what, if any, intoxicants Jenks had his system.
Jenks was charged with reckless driving and hit-and-run after a March 23 crash in Fort Myers. He is scheduled for a docket hearing on those two charges on May 4.
The Red Sox reliever told authorities he had taken too many muscle relaxants. The State's Attorney's Office said Jenks registered a .000 on a breathalyzer test taken during his arrest.
