Carl Crawford is one step closer to making his return to the Red Sox.
The injured outfielder will continue his rehab assignment in Portland for the Double-A Seadogs on Tuesday.
Crawford (elbow, wrist) played five games without incident in the Gulf Coast League, and will now advance to playing at the Double-A level.
