Crawford hits, walks twice in first game with Sea Dogs

Carl Crawford did a little bit of everything in his appearance with the Portland Sea Dogs Tuesday night.

Despite the poor result -- Portland lost 11-3 -- Crawford went 1-2 with a run on a single, two walks, and a steal of third base.

Crawford got the Sea Dogs on the board first, walking to leadoff the game, advancing to second base on a fielder's choice, stealing third base, and scoring on a sacrifice fly.

He flied out in his second at-bat, walked again the next time, and beat out an infield single to first base in the 7th inning before he was pinch-run for.

In other rehab news, Sean McAdam reports that Jacoby Ellsbury is expected to join Crawford with the Sea Dogs on Wednesday. The Sea Dogs are slated for a three-game series with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Manchester, NH.
