MIAMI -- Clay Buchholz turned in his fourth consecutive strong start, limiting the Miami Marlins to a single run over seven innings, while making some meager support from his lineup stand up, snapping the Red Sox' four-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory.

Buchholz five hits while striking out a season-high nine. Over his last four starts, he's compiled a 1.35 ERA and struck out 28 over 31 innings.

The game was scoreless through the first six innings before Kelly Shoppach belted his second double of the night, scoring Will Middlebrooks from first. A run-scoring single from Mike Aviles then scored Shoppach. Both runs came off Miami starter Mark Buehrle

The lone Marlins run came on a leadoff homer by Logan Morrison off Buchholz in the bottom of the seventh, his final inning of work.

Vicente Padilla worked out of a first-and-third, two-out jam in the eighth when he caught Giancarlo Stanton looking at a called third strike.

Alfredo Aceves pitched the ninth and recorded his 15th save and first since June 2.
