John Buccigross (@Buccigross) April 18, 2012What made Francona change his mind, after he was so adamant last week that his feelings were still too hurt over his post-dismissal events (read: the Boston Globe story) for him "to be hugging people" at a giant Red Sox celebration? Interesting question, to say the least.
It's a good bet, though, that Red Sox management did a lot of back-channel fence-mending over the last seven or eight days. Nothing else would make sense, considering how Tito felt.
