Jacoby Ellsbury's impending free agency has been a hot topic all season long.
The Baseball Show Show panel discusses what it will take to keep Ellsbury in Boston. Sean McAdam believes the center fielder won't accept a deal similar to the one B.J. Upton got last winter.
"I don't think there is any way they get him for fifteen million." said Sean McAdam, "I think there is a better chance that Ellsbury takes the qualifying offer for one year, and goes back out next year with, what he hopes to be, better power numbers to get that kind of mega contract."
Dan Shaughnessy disagrees. He thinks it would be too much of a risk for Jacoby Ellsbury to sign the qualifying offer.
"To me, Scott (Boras) has got enough to work with now." argued Dan Shaughnessy, "The risk of him getting hurt next year doesn't outweigh… someone's going to get close to that hundred-million that they are looking for."
