Alex Speier of WEEI.com joins "Uno Sports Tonight" to give Red Sox fans the plusses and minuses of playing Oakland or Detroit in the ALCS.

Speier's reasons why the Red Sox would want to face the A's: Oakland doesn't have an overpowering pitching staff and their lineup is one that can be pitched to, particularly by the Red Sox's arms.

Why wouldn't the Red Sox want the A's? Speier notes that the A's, much like the Red Sox, are patient at the plate, have a strong bullpen and have embraced agressivness on the bases.

As for the Tigers, the pros for the Red Sox: An injured Miguel Cabrera will be limited, Detroit has bullpen issues and there's the potential for sloppy defense from the Tigers.

And why wouldn't the Sox want to see the Tigers? The power arms of starters Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander, the depth of Detroit's lineup and, lastly, crustly old Jim Leyland is trying to will them to the World Series, one cigarette at a time.
