Jonny Gomes, joining Lou Merloni, Tony Massarotti and Gary Tanguay on "Playoff central," admits Game 4 of the ALCS was a tough loss, but he's not worried about the Red Sox focus heading into Game 5.

"Three walks in an inning is tough to bounce back from," Gomes said, referring to the Tigers' five-run second, in which walks by Sox starter Jake Peavy helped fuel the inning.

Still, Gomes saw some positives in the loss.

"You saw the bats come alive late," Gomes said. "This is going to be a heavyweight battle. We're definitely bouncing off each other with wins.

"The bats coming around today, that's step 1," he said. "Now, we've got to get guys to touch the plate. That's step 2."
