Bud Selig won't be remembered so much as the commissioner who rid baseball of PEDs, but more as the guy who let it happen under his watch.

That's the opinion of Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe and Steve Buckley of the Boston Herald.

"This thing is always going to be the asterisk next to his career," said Shaughnessy. "He's the commissioner of the steroids era."
