Steve Buckley of the Boston Herald says no matter the opponent, Clay Buchholz should start Game 2 of the ALCS.

John Lackey, who started Game 2 of the ALDS against the Rays at Fenway, has faced both the A's and Tigers on the road this season. He allowed two earned runs in seven innings in both those starts. Buchholz, limited by injury this season, did not face the A's or Tigers.

"Looking at those numbers [for Lackey], why not start Buchholz in Game 3," Buckley told Gary Tanguay on "Uno Sports Tonight."

Lackey proved "very hittable" in his Fenway start against the Rays, a 7-4 Red Sox victory. "I didn't want Lackey starting Game 2 anyway," Buckley said.
