Clay Buchholz pitched just 0.2 innings in what amounted to an ugly rehab start for the Lowell Spinners on Sunday night.
The righty faced seven hitters and made 38 pitches, 19 for strikes. He issued three walks and allowed one hit.
Of the three runs the Hudson Valley Renegades scored off of Buchholz, only one was earned as the Spinners made three errors in the first inning, including two on one play.
Buchholz didn't record a single swing-and-miss, according to reports from the field, but he did strike out one hitter.
