Gary Tanguay and Fred Toucher play Take Your Pick on Arbella Early Edition. This round asks which player is the bigger complainer - David Ortiz or Carl Crawford?
Both players were whining on Friday - Ortiz complained about Boston's bad season and the fact that the team didn't sign Nelson Cruz, while Crawford is still bellyaching about his short time in Boston.
So which guy is the bigger crybaby?
"It’s obviously Crawford because I have no idea what he’s complaining about," says Toucher. "Why is he still bitching about [his time in Boston]? He got the contract, he’s still playing with that contract. He didn’t perform in Boston, I don’t recall anyone getting on him, they won a World Series the year after, so what’s the problem?
"With Ortiz, I understand there’s the steroid stuff and there’s a bunch of talking about how his legacy is tainted, but with Crawford, you got paid. What’s the problem?"
The problem seems to be that Crawford is like that ex-boyfriend/girlfriend who wants everyone to know it wasn't his/her fault that the relationship didn't work. The problem is that he keeps talking about it long after everyone stopped caring, which in this case was about two years ago.
Let it go, Carl. Let it go.
