Eric Frede has the headlines and highlights for Monday, May 6, 2013 on CSNNE.com's SportsNet Central Update.

The Red Sox played the third and final game of their series against the Rangers, and just like the first two games, they came out on the wrong end. Boston lost, 4-3, and was swept for the first time all season. Sox reliever Andrew Bailey will have an MRI on his right bicep on Monday.

The Bruins were back at practice on Sunday, one day after dropping a 4-2 game to the Maple Leafs. Andrew Ference will be back with the team for Monday's Game 3 in Toronto.

Rob Gronkowski and the Patriots are playing the waiting game in regards to Gronkowski's forearm. There's no word yet on if he'll need a 4th surgery on the forearm that he broke - and then broke again - in the 2012-13 season.
