I just turned the big 5-0 and no I DO NOT dye my hair. It is my one genetic gift.

This Is What I Know at Fifty.

I still love onion rings, fried clams and Boston cream pie.

I must cut back on the onion rings, fried clams and Boston cream pie.

When played correctly (with ball movement and tough defense) basketball is the greatest game to watch. Notice I said basketball and NOT the NBA.

I cannot believe I work with Bob Ryan, Dan Shaughnessy. Troy Brown, Jackie MacMullen and Cedric Maxwell.

Lebron James is the second-greatest player ever. I do not know either man, but I have been told is Lebron is a nicer guy the Jordan.

I could listen to Tony Mazz talk baseball all day long.

Rob Bradford is the nicest person in Boston media.

John Henry will never be a true Bostonian no matter how many titles the Red Sox win.

Charles Steinberg should be a Broadway producer. (Please take this as a compliment)

Fred Toucher of The Sports Hub knows more about sports than he thinks.

Gresh should be doing nationally televised college football games.

Kirk Minihane saved WEEI. OK, he got them off life support.

If I could wear sneakers and flip flops for the rest of my life I would.

I say I’m cool, but my wife says I just have a cool job.

The Bruins need a dose of Cam Neely.

S’up Zo.

Brad Stevens can coach.

Greg Dickerson should be on the radio.

The Celtics will make the playoffs this season.

Donald Sterling, unfortunately, will win in court.

Felger is at the top of his game.

The Perkins School is amazing.

My kids are the most entertaining people on earth. They’re better than cable.

And finally, my Uncle Nelson was right.

If I knew then what I know now I would be a millionaire. No wait, a billionaire.

Happy birthday to me.
