Rick Raisman talks about daughter Aly's quest for gold

Rick Raisman, father of U.S. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, joined Comcast SportsNet Central's Kyle Draper on Monday on the phone from London on Monday to talk about his daughter reaching the All-Around final and how proud the family from Needham, Mass. is of Aly.

Rick and his wife Lynn also put on quite a show of their own as NBC's cameras also focused on the proud parents nervously watching their daughter compete Sunday night.

"Slowly but surely, we are recovering," Rick said. "Everything is just so magnified . . . You're here for your daughter at the Olympics. It's a dream come true."

Along with Aly's triumph, there was disappointment that All-Around world champion, Jordyn Wieber, Aly's U.S. teammate and friend, didn't qualify for the final.

"I'm sure Aly felt awful that her best friend didn't qualify," Rick Raisman said.
