After being railed by media and sports pundits galore for having a high octane with zero defense mentality, only to be booted ear on from the Stanley Cup playoffs , (former) Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau tried preaching a more defensive mentality. It worked for Boston, right?

Sadly, when your captain and star attraction is a Russian scoring czar, that mentality doesnt always play well. Still, the Caps started off 7-0 only to completely unravel like Hermain Cains presidential bid. And now hes done, joining thousands of others in the unemployment line.

And though hell definitely get a job elsewhere, well miss Boudreaus time with Washington.

Well miss his subpar locker room speeches where he drops 15 f-bombs in a minute and a half.

Note: NSFW for his salty language

Super awkward pep-speech, Batman. Its no wonder why his team gave up on him.

Sticking with the Pens-Caps 247 series, well miss the interviews in which good ol Bruce forgot to wipe his face with a wetnap.

Well miss his ugh uncanny birdcall talent

and whatever this is

We fear to ask what the ponys role was in Bruces party. Someone call PETA.

Well miss Bruces keen ability to insult his star forward and captain by benching him and putting in another player as the sixth skater.

Sure the ploy worked and Ovechkin deserved to ride the pine. But in Washington you cant let good ideas that work get in the way of Russian superegos. Alas, this beautiful piece of strategy was the beginning of the end for Boudreau.

Well miss the No Cups jokes.

OK, those will continue. We just wanted to use that picture.

But at least Boudreaus demise means the Internet gave us this.
