Red Sox to interview Counsell, Colbrunn for hitting coach

Craig Counsell, who has never coached at any level, retired as a player in 2011 after amassing 1,208 career hits and served as a special assistant to Brewers general manager Doug Melvin in 2012 season. Greg Colbrunn spent five of the past six years as the hitting coach for the Yankees Low-A affiliate in Charleston. WEEI.com's Alex Speier reported the news.
