One of the feel-good stories of these Olympics to this point was local star Aly Raisman, who won two golds and a bronze, leading the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team into the hearts of Americans and onto the podium.
The Massachusetts native finished as the most decorated U.S. Olympic Gymnast in London.
"I still don't even think it's sunk in yet," said Raisman. "It's been such an amazing experience."
Among the millions of Americans that Raisman can count among her fans are President Obama and Justin Timberlake. So how is she handling the fame?
"It's crazy," gushed Raisman. "I can't believe how well everything has worked out... I'm trying to enjoy it all and cherish it."
One of the things that Raisman says helped her to the gold in the individual floor competition was the bronze she won earlier that day.
"It definitely did help," said Raisman. "I felt more confident going in because my goal has always been to get an individual medal so I had achieved and I knew I had nothing to lose I just wanted to go out on floor and do the best that I could and whatever happened, happened... and I knew I would have no regrets."
