Joseph recalled from Red Claws by Celtics

WALTHAM -- Kris Joseph's wild weekend of basketball travel continues.

The Boston Celtics recalled the rookie from the Maine Red Claws on Sunday. He had been called up from the D-League on Friday prior to the Celtics game against the Milwaukee Bucks and was re-assigned to the Red Claws on Saturday.

Joseph played 37 minutes Saturday night in the Red Claws loss to the Erie BayHawks in which he posted 10 points (3-16 FG, 1-4 3PG, 3-4 FT) and seven rebounds. He is averaging 19.5 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Red Claws this season.

The moves should not come as a surprise to the swingman. On Friday he said he expected to join the Celtics for their Christmas Day game against the Nets in Brooklyn.
