Jeter ties Honus Wagner on all-time hits list

Derek Jeter celebrates a 10-6 Yankees victory over the Indians. In the first inning of the game, Jeter tied Honus Wagner for sixth place on the all-time hits list.

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter moved into a tie with Honus Wagner for sixth on baseball’s all-time hits list on Friday when he singled in the first inning against Indians starter Trevor Bauer. The single is number 3,430 of Jeter’s 20-year career.

With his next hit, Jeter will claim the sixth spot for his own. Next up after that is Tris Speaker with 3,514 hits.
