FOXBORO -- Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was not spotted at the start of Friday's practice.
He did have a travel bag packed with pads in the locker room earlier in the morning. As far as head coach Bill Belichick would say, Hernandez could be a game-time decision in Seattle, or the team may know earlier.
Safety Steve Gregory (hip) and linebacker Tracy White (foot) are still missing.
Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, who suffered a concussion in Week 4, has returned to action. He was seen wearing a soft brace on his right knee this morning -- something worth watching.
Receiver Julian Edelman (hand) was back for the second straight day.
A mess of players were wearing black jerseys Friday: Quarterback Ryan Mallett, defensive linemen Trevor Scott and Justin Francis, tight end Daniel Fells, and fullback James Develin. The shirt is a reward for helping New England best scout its opponent.
The Patriots fly to Seattle this evening.
