FOXBORO -- New England held a walk-through Tuesday on the practice fields behind Gillette. With the team leaving for London on Thursday, the week's schedule has basically been moved up a day.
Four Patriots were missing during the media availability portion of the session: Cornerback Ras-I Dowling, running back Brandon Bolden, linebacker Tracy White, and safety Steve Gregory.
Dowling is a new edition to the list. He suffered some unknown ailment during Sunday's game against the Jets.
Gregory, White, and Bolden all missed last weekend's tilt. Gregory has been rehabbing a hip since Week 4; White injured his foot against Denver in the following week; Bolden suffered a knee injury in Seattle.
Linebacker Mike Rivera, who was spotted in the locker room Tuesday morning, was not on the field with the team. The reason for his returned presence in New England is yet unclear. There's speculation he could be added to the roster if White is moved to IR.
It's hard to take much from such a low-key session.
Gregory, for example, joined in last week's walk-through, but was inactive for the Jets game. Information about player participation will be better gleaned Wednesday when the Patriots get back into pads, or at least shells.
