There is a lot of hype surrounding the New England Patriots this season.

A lot of the excitement is because of the acquisition of shutdown cornerback Darrelle Revis.

How will the 29-year-old fit into the Patriots system?

Steve DeOssie joined Sports Tonight to explain how the Patriots will use Revis once the season starts.

"He's that rare player that you can design defenses around him," said DeOssie. "Bill Belichick has a history of doing that. He did that with Lawrence Taylor, another player who was the best at his position, probably to play the game. That's what they'll do, they'll design defenses around him."

Bob Neumeier suggested Revis should cover opposing team's best wideout on every play. DeOssie explained why the Patriots won't do that.

"If you give the exact same look every single time, even if it's man-to-man with a talented player as Revis, eventually teams will take advantage of it. They will use his skills accordingly. He is the best one-on-one coverage guy they've ever seen."
