BURLINGTON, MA, January 30, 2013 – NHL hockey is back and Comcast SportsNet will bring viewers even more in-depth coverage in 2013 with the addition of Boston Bruins’ Legend Mike Milbury and the return of Bruins’ Forward Shawn Thornton to its NHL programming line-up.  Milbury -- who served as a player, coach and broadcaster for the team -- will co-host Cross Check with Felger & Milbury which makes its season debut on Thursday, February 7th at 9:30PM.  Thornton, known to be an “enforcer” for the Bruins, will once again join Comcast SportsNet throughout the season on various shows and programs.
Cross Check, Comcast SportsNet’s signature hockey program, offers expertise and opinion from co-hosts Milbury and Michael Felger who will be joined by Thornton and other special guests throughout the season to break down the Bruins and all things hockey. Cross Check is the new name for Sticks & Stones which debuted last season.
Thornton will return to the network’s programming for 2013 in a number of capacities.  In addition to his guest role on Cross Check, he will also join Comcast SportsNet for exclusive interviews following several key Bruins matchups and will make appearances throughout the season on Sports Tonight and other key network programming.
Comcast SportsNet will be a go-to source for the best hockey coverage, offering exclusive game day access, interviews and video clips from a number of nationally televised Bruins games on NBC and NBC Sports Network. This includes access to the nation’s top hockey analysts throughout the season.
