Cavaliers' Varejao out against Celtics

BOSTON The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the most injury-riddled teams this season.
So it should come as no surprise that they come into tonight's game undermanned with the news that Anderson Varejao will not play.
Varejao, the NBA's rebounding leader with 14.4 boards per game, suffered a right knee injury in the first quarter of the Cavaliers' loss to Toronto on Tuesday.
He was able to finish out the game, but Cleveland head coach Byron Scott was concerned about him return.
Since then, he has been receiving regular treatments for the injury which has not improved enough to where he can play tonight.
This is a huge, huge bonus for the Celtics who come into tonight's game looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
One of the reasons for Boston's struggles has been the team's inability to control the boards, something that becomes a lot easier to do without Varejao in the mix.
