Allen to play vs. Spurs

BOSTON Barring an unexpected change of events - and with the Boston Celtics this year, that's always a possibility - Celtics coach Doc Rivers tells CSNNE.com that Ray Allen will play tonight.
Allen has missed the last six games because of a right ankle injury. Following Tuesday's practice, Allen said he felt confident that he would be able to play tonight. And following the team's shootaround this afternoon, apparently the ankle held up fine enough to where Rivers is confident he'll have Allen back in the starting lineup.
That means Avery Bradley will move back to the bench as a backup to both Rajon Rondo and Allen, although it's likely he'll see most of his minutes in the game for Allen while Rondo's backup minutes are likely to go to Keyon Dooling.
