First quarter: Patriots 14, Bills 0

The crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium was overcharged with excitement Sunday, giddily anticipating the battle between the Patriots and their surprisingly unbeaten Bills.

But in the first 15 minutes, they had absolutely nothing to cheer.

The Patriots offense got a pair of Tom Brady touchdown passes -- one of 14 yards to Wes Welker and the other of one yard to upstate New York native Rob Gronkowski -- and the Patriots defense got a pair of drive-killing interceptions by Kyle Arrington as New England jumped out a 14-0 lead after one quarter.

Brady completed 8-of-10 passes for 105 yards in the period, and Welker caught 5 passes for 91 yards.
