FOXBORO -- Former Patriots center Jon Morris didnt think hed get in.

Players are voted into the Patriots Hall of Fame by thefans. And Morris figured that most fans who vote werent even alive when heplayed from 1964-74.

So when he got the call from Robert Kraft, it caught him bysurprise.

Im tremendously overwhelmed, said Morris on Thursday atGillette Stadium, after being officially fitted for his red Patriots Hall ofFame blazer.

I had given up hope, he said about his chances of gettingvoted in. I really had. And I was very, very disappointed that I was nevergoing to make it.

Morris was indeed voted in and will be officially inductedinto the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday.

But he was in town on Thursday to take it all in, andcompared his playing days to whats going on in New England right now.

It is a different game, said Morris. I didnt playagainst too many guys that weigh as much as Albert Haynesworth weighs. And Iplayed with some good quarterbacks in my career... but Monday night wasthe best quarterback game Ive ever seen, what Brady just did.

Morris also seemed concerned for injured center Dan Koppen, who broke his ankle on Monday night, and will miss 6-10 weeks. Morris canrelate because it was that same injury that ended his career.

I had a terrible feeling when I saw that, said Morris. Isaw Koppen go down, and that happened to me in about the sameI think itshis 10th year. It happened to me in my 10th year, in my second game of theyear, and I was out. That was it. That was my last game with the Patriots. Ihope that doesnt happen to him.

It was a sinking feeling when I saw that happen to him. Ivebeen there.
