Manning's absence has Kraft ‘sorry for football'

Asked if he felt sorry for the Colts over the loss -- perhaps for the season -- of Peyton Manning, Patriots president Jonathan Kraft said, "I don't know that I feel sorry for the Colts, but I feel sorry for football. Part of what makes this league great is people like Peyton."

Kraft, appearing on WEEI Radio's "The Dennis And Callahan Show", added that, while the Colts may not be as formidable without Manning, "When we play the Colts, you want to play Peyton Manning."

"I know that sounds crazy, but there's something about the competition of it when it's Tom Brady and Peyton."
