WILMINGTONUnrestricted free agent Brad Marchand still hasnt signed a contract with the Boston Bruins, but hes clearly still a member of the Stanley Cup winning champions.

The 23-year-old winger was on the ice and skating with the rest of his Bs teammates during a captains practice at Ristuccia Arena on Thursday morning, and looked exactly like the guy that potted 19 points in 25 games this season. The Bruins and Marchand's agent, Wade Arnott, have been engaged in a summer-long dance that's left both sides unable to come to an agreement on a new contract with the official opening of B's training now little more than a week away.

There were 21 Bruins attending the captains practice in all, including David Krejci, Milan Lucic, Zdeno Chara, Tyler Seguin, Gregory Campbell, Shawn Thornton, Daniel Paille, Adam McQuaid and Johnny Boychuk. Tuukka Rask was the only goaltender at the practice session relegating the skaters to a half-ice game of shinny that has lasted more than 40 minutes.

Check back here later for more updates from the first official sign that hockey is returning to Boston.
