The Dolphins are bringing back Larry Johnson just five days after letting him go. The one-time Kansas City superstar was released Saturday in the Dolphins' final cutdowns. An injury to rookie running back Daniel Thomas forced Miami to reel him back in. You know it could be short termbut you also realize it doesnt have to be, Johnson told Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald. It all depends on what you can do. If I go out there on Monday Night and show out, that opens more eyesnot just in Miami but everywhere else.Johnsonrushed 10 times for 39 yards and a 22-yard touchdown against the Cowboys during preseason. I was still riding high from my performance against the Cowboys, Johnson said. I knew if they just watched the tape, they would believe I have more left in the tank than they thought.Reggie Bush still figures to get the bulk of the carries for Miami on Monday night against the Patriots. But the hard-running Johnson provides an interesting option.
