Patriots provide powerless Foxboro with supplies

(NECN: Scot Yount, Foxboro, Mass.) - Foxboro still has 15,000 without power Wednesday afternoon.

But just down the road at Gillette Stadium, the lights are back on.

According to National Grid spokesperson Jackie Barry, the company has an established process for how they restore power.

There are two lines that feed power to the stadium -- one from Foxboro and one from Wrentham. Coincidentally, the Wrentham line did not sustain significant damage.

National Grid has stated that they did not give the stadium preferential treatment and they hope to have power restored to most of the customers by Friday. All power will be restored by Sunday at the latest.

In the meantime, the Patriots organization handed out bags of ice, batteries, and even generators to those who rely on well water for their water supply.
