BOSTON --Monday night marked the fifth-annual Beckett Bowl at LuckyStrikes Lanes in Boston, which raises money for Childrens Hospital Boston, thenations top pediatric hospital.

The star-studded event came on the second of back-to-backdays off for the Red Sox, thanks to Hurricane Irene and the teams regularlyscheduled off-day on Monday.

Everybodys focus on Monday night was strictly turned towardsraising money for children in need.

But with the New York Yankees in town, some baseballquestions were asked, particularly about the Red Sox extended time off beforethe three-game set.

Its huge, said Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester. Our travelschedules been brutal the past couple of weeks. Weve played 17 out of thelast 19 on the road. So its nice to be home. Its nice to have a day off.Yesterday, we didnt really get to do a whole lot. We were stuck inside for themost part. But its a good mental break for us, and hopefully it will help usthis week.
