Wide receiver Wes Welker injured his neck making a second-quarter tackle after a Tom Brady interception. Welker walked slowly to the sidelines, was checked by trainers and then walked off the field even more slowly at halftime. The Patriots media relations staff said Welker's return was questionable. Right guard Dan Connolly also was injured in the first half and didn't return.
