BOSTON -- The Red Sox announced Saturday that Jacoby Ellsbury has been placed on the 15-day disabled list after an MRI "showed findings consistent with a subluxed shoulder".
A "subluxed shoulder" is described in medical journals as "a temporary, partial dislocation of the shoulder joint".
The Sox said they are "in the process of gathering further information and determining the treatment plan".
