Brandon Meriweather can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The Boston Herald is reporting the Patriots' safety is not considered a suspect in a shooting that took place at a house party in March in Florida.
The Herald says Meriweather is still considered a potential witness.
Quentin Taylor, a cousin or Meriweather's, and another man were injured in the shooting.
The 24th overall pick in the 2007 draft, Meriweather made 68 tackles and pulled in three interceptions in 16 games last season for the Patriots.
