A day after the Patriots 47-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2011 preseason opener, New England coach Bill Belichick went over what he saw on the game film, and while he was happy with his teams effort and energy after a slow start, he realizes that plenty of adjustments need to be made.

This afternoon weve been kind of pounding away here, going through the film, said Belichick in Fridays conference call. Talking about Thursday night and now trying to get ready for the coming week. Its definitely a big week for us, to build on where were at.

Just a quick review of the game, theres definitely some encouraging things, some things that I thought we did well. There were, of course, plenty of mistakes out there. A lot of things we need to get corrected. Some things we havent gone over as thoroughly as what well be able to cover. Other things, I feel like we spent quite a bit of time on, which we should be doing better.

Coaching wise, we still have a long way to go there too, in terms of all of our communication, and adjustments, added Belichick. Just kind of getting back into game mode, which we havent done in a while, in six months or so.
