Matt Light and the New England Patriots have reportedly agreed on a new deal, according to CSNNE.com Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran. Terms of the deal have not yet been released.

Tom Brady was asked about Light on Friday, and Brady had only good things to say about his on-field bodyguard.

I mean, I love Matt," said Brady. "Matts one of my favorite players thatIve ever played with. Hes a great guy. Hes great for this team. Hes greatfor the community. I cant say enough about Matt.

I hope hes back. Those decisions arent up to me. Mattsperformance speaks for itself.

Light, a 10-year NFL veteran, is entering his 11th NFL season -- all with the Patriots. There was question as to whether or not the Patriots would re-sign the offensive tackle Light, having drafted Nate Solder in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft and not knowing what Light's worth would be after the new NFL CBA was put in place.

Light is a three-time Super Bowl Champion, having started 12 of his 14 games played during his rookie year in 2001. He's a three-time Pro Bowler ('06, '07, '10) and a one-time All-Pro ('07). He's also a member of the Patriots 50th Anniversary team, honoring the best Patriots to ever play.
