Morris returns to Patriots on one-year deal

Veteran running back Sammy Morris and the Patriots have agreed to terms on a one-year deal, according to his agent, Mark Slough.

Morris has been with the Patriots since 2007. He spent 2010 in a reserve role, playing in all 16 games but accumulating only 56 rushing yards.

The 34-year-oldjoins fellow running backs Danny Woodhead and Thomas Clayton on the roster. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is a restricted free agent. The Patriots also drafted two running backs who have yet to sign.
